As a reformed over-packer, my goal when traveling is to bring pieces that are versatile and can be worn different ways. One of the best ways to do this is by bringing statement accessories, such as this basket purse (only $25 on Amazon!), which instantly transform a simple blouse and shorts into a tropical vacation look.
The base of this outfit is a simple, classic white shirt + jean shorts combo, made vacation apropriate through the fabrics and accessories. I chose this white, linen top because the structured, organic material fits well with the natural looks of the basket bag. I also love how this top is long enough to double as a beach cover up, but also looks great tucked into shorts for an effortless daytime look.
I finished off the outfit with my favorite pair of sunglasses, a simple, gold bar necklace and a pair of white sandals. I think this look would also look great with a straw hat—something I haven’t picked up yet, but is definitely on my wishlist.
